Best prebuilt gaming PC around £1000-£1500.

I’m looking for a strong gaming system (probably going to have to be prebuilt) to match up with a gsync 27” 1440p 144hz monitor. I’m not 100% set on this, as if I find it’s too demanding I’ll ‘downgrade’ to 1080p.

I’ve been reading up a lot and it seems I’ll probably be best with a gtx 1080 + an i7 8700, however I am fairly open with my first proper pc gaming system. I’d like to have at least 250gb ssd.

I’ve been looking closely at scan systems for my budget and something like click here seems decent. I’d love to hear the opinions of people far more knowledgable than myself.

I will be hoping to play games like overwatch and csgo at the highest refresh rates. I will also be looking to play titles like fallout, farcry, battlefield, rust and possibly wow. I’m not obsessive with graphics as I would value the smoothness a lot more so I’d be happy to play all the above games at med to high rather than being stuck on ultra.

Thanks for any help in advance.

hi josh , I got a gtx 1080 when it first came out 2 years ago , in a pc built by pc specialists the card alone cost £800 and I just looked at current prices and the zotac version I have has only dropped to £500. It can handle anything you throw at it but I am not sure if you could get a custom built pc with the 1080 for £1500 , mine rig cost 3k. I have seen lots of good reports on the gtx 1070.

Take a look at the build my pc section on pc specialist site , when you have done your proposed build it will check for component incompatability and say if your choice of power supply is too small or over kill.

if you want to see a mine review on my rig click here.

Well the scan link I sent is £100 over budget with a 1080, I’ve tried to make a similar system on pc specialists and I appear to be £200 over budget :(

I’ve been trying to do some shopping around and I’m looking to bring the price of the desktop down. With everything else I need + the monitor I want it’s going to cost over £2000! I’m not fussed about having graphics on absolute full so maybe somebody could suggest a system that isn’t as expensive?
